NSW State Titles and Commonwealth Games Pathway Criteria

1 NSW Boxers must be registered with BA/NSW and NSW Combat Sports.

2 BAL Technical and Competition rules will apply.

3 Only Red or Blue shorts/skirts and vest will be permitted, Red mouth guards will not.

4 Elite male boxers will be required to wear approved headgear at this event.

5 State Titles age categories will be determined using a boxer’s day of birth on the first day of competition and will be open to all BA/NSW registered boxers.

 
6 Eligibility for the Commonwealth Games pathway will be determined by year of birth. Boxers must be born (1998-1978) and have had a minimum of 3 competition bouts.

7 Boxers entering the commonwealth games pathway event must belong to a BA/NSW affiliated gym and compete in BA/NSW sanctioned tournaments only.

8 Weight categories are as per BAL Technical and competition regulations.

9 Weight categories for elite females at the Commonwealth Games selections are, (45-48kg,51kg,57kg,60kg,69kg,75kg)

10 Weight categories for elite females at the state titles are, (54kg,64kg,81kg,81+kg.)

11 Boxers must declare all competition bouts in any individual combat sport.

12 The duration of bouts at this tournament will be conducted according to BAL Competition and Technical rules.

13 Weigh-in times are set by BA/NSW and are strict and not negotiable.

14 Boxers will only be required to weigh-in on the days that they are scheduled to compete. There will be no general weigh-in.

15 The weight category that you nominate will be final and cannot be altered on the day of competition. The official draw will be live streamed on Wednesday 23-8-17 at 2.00pm.

16 Please print your nomination forms clearly and correctly including coach’s phone number. Some boxers may end up in divisions with no opponents so BA/NSW will be contacting coaches on Monday 21-8-17 to discuss possible options for those boxers before the draw on Wednesday 23-8-17

17 BA/NSW will not be responsible for nomination forms that are filled out incorrectly.
